Messiah Brown Productions In Leogane, Haiti a community of musicians has been working hard to build a professional recording studio to serve their artistic community. With the help of the Carrefour Collaborative, MBP is releasing their first full-length this winter. Pay what you want for this release, but know all proceeds go to support MBP.

Our First Grantee! Gaetjen-ens is an undeniably talented MC and vocalist from Leogane. Her passion and dedication earned her our enthusiastic support. The CC sponsored her return to the studio to record her latest single Men Fanm Nan, which features superstar mc Fantom. We're currently raising funds to shoot her video.

The Carrefour Collaborative is a 501(c)3 charitable organization in the State of Illinois. Our mission is to empower artists in Haiti to achieve their artistic goals. Similar to grant programs in developed countries, we seek out artists who have proven their talent and dedication to their field through prior efforts and accomplishments.

By awarding artists based on merit – regardless of their economic situation – we seek to create a fund that is as prestigious for its recipients as it is fruitful. We believe that in leveling the playing field for Haitian artists, the global artistic community will benefit just as much as the sponsored artists as it is asked to view through a critical lense an artistic voice that is too often marginalized.
